While reading the Grails docs I came across a useful Grails command i.e. integrate-with<\/strong>. In this short blog I just want to present some of the uses of this command.<\/p>\n

By using this command we can create Git’s .gitignore<\/strong><\/em> file:<\/p>\n

[java]
\ngrails integrate-with –git
\n[\/java]<\/p>\n

The above command will create a .gitignore<\/em> file in the root of our project with the following content:<\/p>\n

\n*.iws
\n*Db.properties
\n*Db.script
\n.settings
\nstacktrace.log
\n\/*.zip
\n\/plugin.xml
\n\/*.log
\n\/*DB.*
\n\/cobertura.ser
\n.DS_Store
\n\/target\/
\n\/out\/
\n\/web-app\/plugins
\n\/web-app\/WEB-INF\/classes
\n\/.link_to_grails_plugins\/
\n\/target-eclipse\/
\n[\/java]<\/p>\n

Another use of ‘integrate-with’ command is to create an Eclipse specific file structure (to be opened in Eclipse IDE) of our Grails project:<\/p>\n

[java]
\ngrails integrate-with –eclipse
\n[\/java]<\/p>\n

‘eclipse<\/strong>‘ option in the above command will produce .project<\/strong><\/em> and .classpath<\/strong><\/em> files for use with Eclipse.
\nSimilarly, you can create IntelliJ Idea specific project file structure from a Grails project<\/p>\n

[java]
\ngrails integrate-with –intellij
\n[\/java]<\/p>\n

‘intellij’<\/strong> option in the above command will produce .iml, .ipr <\/strong>and .iws<\/strong><\/em> files for use with IntelliJ Idea IDE.<\/p>\n
